Manager- Application Support (Exp: 12+ years)

Job opportunity for a professional holding at least 12 years of experience in the industry with Application Support. My client is looking for someone who will play a leading role in coordinating and managing project and support teams within the organization. You will assist the applications supporting staff of company that is involved in solving system related issues for the end users. You will also be responsible for providing foresight and bringing in efficiencies to the current processes

Location- Mumbai/Pune

  1. You should be responsible for managing the Support function

  2. Ensuring that the team also carries out Problem Management tasks along with day-day Incident Management.

  3. Ensuring RCAs are carried out on time to determine cause of recurring incidents and provide solutions for permanent fixes.

  4. Ensuring that the team maintains a Run Book and Known Error Database and ensure usage of the same in the day-day support operations.

  5. Project Management - Use disciplined project management methodology to define scope, develop project plan, and execute projects that adhere to guidelines and deliver within cost, quality and schedule.

  6. Change management – ability to introduce, implement and manage all aspects of change, with teams and stakeholders, and communicate regularly and efficiently while complying with change management protocols

  7. Risk management – analyze, anticipate and mitigate risk factors and work with the team and stakeholders to minimize risk.


  1. 12+ Years IT experience preferred in managing application support & maintenance

  2. ITIL certification at intermediate / expert level

  3. PMP designation or equivalent project management experience is must

  4. Knowledge of Insurance Broking would be a big plus

  5. Well versed with Incident, Change and Problem management.
