Looking for a professional having minimum 8+ years of experience as Team Leader –US Healthcare-Claims with strong understanding and experience of using advanced excel. Minimum experience of people management should be of 3 Years and should have completed 2 annual appraisal cycles for team.

Responsibilities:

  • Materially contribute to core healthand benefits projects involving the design and management of group medical, dental,
    wellbeing, life, disability and absence management benefits for clients.

  • Partnering with client service team leader to deliver superiorproject management.

  • Proactively advising clients and providing superior client service in response to day to day service issues and
    questions (eligibility, carrier coverage and claims issues, compliance, etc.).

  • Preparing for and facilitating client meetings (prepare agendas and materials, coordinate resources, etc.)

  • Playing a key role in vendor procurement, negotiation, implementation, and


optimization activities.

  • Providingbenefitenrolmentsupport, including preparing materials and presentations, verifying policy and
    plan information, and updating internal systems as necessary.

  • Contributing to completion of reports and administrative actions for clients including Form 5500 filings,
    policy checking and delivery, monthly reporting of client and carrier information, summary plan descriptions and certificates.

  • Contributing to benefit plan analysis, design, cost savings and funding strategies
    Engaging subject matter experts to address client needs.

  • Reviewing financial analyses including developing pricing and employee contributions strategies,modelling plan design alternatives and calculating reserves.

  • Conducting review of clientdeliverables to ensure alignment to client objectives, leverage of optimal services
    and solutions, and adherence to professional excellence standards.

  • Conducting benchmarking studies and other research; provide value added analyses and summaries.

  • Analyzing and comparing vendor products, services and contracts.

  • Building relationships internally and collaborating effectively on cross-functional teams.

  • Reviewing work and contributing to the development of junior staff.

  • Support benefit plan analysis, design, cost avoidance and funding strategies.

  • Perform financial analyses including estimating plan costs and employee contributions strategies, modelling plan
    design alternatives, and data analytics toidentify cost drivers and cost avoidance opportunities.

  • Contribute to the development of new actuarial/analytic intellectual capital
    Develop actuarial/analytic expertise to provide results effectively responding to client needs
    Learn to communicate complex actuarial/analytic results to effectively drive client action

Requirements:

  • 4+ years’ experience dealing with health and welfare plans, ideally gained in a benefitconsulting/brokerage firm
    or health underwriting / actuarial function of an insurance company.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and produce quality deliverables on time and within
    budget.

  • Strong client service orientation andability to respond to all communications effectively and in a timely manner.

  • Proven ability to identify and resolve issues.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical, creative and integrative skills
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
• State Life and Health license required within 90 days of joining
• Pursuit of CEBS designation, or health and welfare actuarial / underwriting training encouraged
• Ability to learn big data analytic technics preferred
• Significant progress towards completion of health actuarial designation (optional))
