WAF Engineer -7+ Years - Bangalore

We are hiring a seasoned WAF Engineer with strong expertise in web application security and hands-on experience in managing and optimizing Cloud-based WAF solutions. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and fine-tuning security policies to safeguard internet-facing applications while leveraging automation and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and manage Web Application Firewall (WAF) security policies with primary focus on Cloudflare.
2. Develop, fine-tune, and optimize custom WAF rules including Firewall Rules, Rate Limiting, Bot Management, and Managed Rules.
3. Provide L3 support for complex security incidents and troubleshoot advanced web application security issues.
4. Automate configuration management using Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform.
5. Analyse web traffic, logs, and security events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk) to detect and mitigate threats.

Requirements –

1. 5+ years of hands-on experience in Web Application Security with strong exposure to WAF policy management.
2. Extensive experience with Cloudflare WAF and custom rule configuration.
3. Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10, DDoS mitigation, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, DNS, HTTP/2, TLS 1.3, and caching strategies.
4. Hands-on experience with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and at least one scripting language (Python/Bash).
5. Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and familiarity with SIEM tools like Splunk.
