Role Overview:
The Role combines technical, analytical, and leadership skills. Experience in leading data science projects and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions to our clients. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data science, project management, and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Project Leadership: Innovate and lead strategic data science and analytics projects from inception to completion, aligning them with clients' overarching business goals. Drive the evolution of data science capabilities to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
2. Catalyst for Team Excellence: Cultivate a culture of excellence within the data science team, inspiring them to push boundaries and deliver transformative solutions. Nurture a collaborative environment that encourages the exploration of new methodologies and technologies.
3. Client Collaboration Mastery: Serve as a trusted partner to our clients, delving deep into their business landscape, understanding their challenges, and co-creating visionary data-driven solutions. Elevate client engagement by translating complex analytics into actionable business insights.
4. Account Growth Leadership: Fronted efforts to drive account growth, identifying opportunities for expanding our data science services within existing client relationships. Collaborate with business development teams to create strategies for organic growth and upselling.
5. Innovative Problem-Solving: Lead the charge in solving complex business problems using advanced data science techniques. Encourage the team to explore novel approaches and methodologies, staying at the forefront of industry innovation.
6. Holistic Quality Assurance: Instil a commitment to excellence in every deliverable. Conduct rigorous quality assessments, ensuring our analytics solutions meet and exceed client expectations.
7. Resource Symphony: Skilfully allocate resources, balancing team members' unique strengths to optimise performance. Strategically expand the team through recruitment, fostering a diverse and dynamic group of data science professionals.
8. Agile Risk Management: Anticipate and navigate project risks with agility, applying strategic foresight to overcome challenges. Implement robust risk management strategies to ensure project success.
9. Pioneer Continuous Improvement: Champion a continuous improvement and learning culture. Stay at the forefront of data science trends, integrating emerging technologies to enhance our service offerings.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience (15+ years) in a data science leadership role.
2. Strong track record of building and managing high-performing data science teams.
3. Extensive experience in applying advanced analytics to solve complex business problems.
4. Demonstrated success in client engagement, with the ability to translate business requirements into data science solutions.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
6. Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master's) in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics.
