Responsibilities
As an AVP - Audit and SOX, your role will include:
- Internal Audit Expertise: Overseeing end-to-end internal audit engagements that cover operational, compliance, and financial audits.
- SOX Compliance: Leading efforts in evaluating, testing, and monitoring the effectiveness of internal controls in alignment with SOX requirements.
- Team Leadership: Managing, mentoring, and motivating a team of auditors while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Risk Management: Identifying audit issues, risk areas, and actionable recommendations to senior management.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to ensure smooth execution of audit plans.
- Process Improvement: Continuously improving audit methodologies, ensuring they are aligned with global best practices.
Requirements
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
- Experience: 14+ years of experience in Internal Audit, SOX compliance, or similar roles.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of financial processes, controls, SOX compliance frameworks, and risk assessment.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage diverse teams, encouraging creativity and innovation.
- Critical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with global stakeholders.
