Responsibilities

• Build, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS cloud technologies.
• Develop and manage ETL/ELT workflows for structured and unstructured data.
• Partner with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to meet analytics needs.
• Implement and manage robust data storage frameworks and high-performance databases.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance throughout its lifecycle.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance for data systems and workflows.
• Stay informed on the latest AWS and data engineering advancements to implement innovative practices.
• Uphold coding standards, testing procedures, and documentation excellence.

Requirements

Must-Have:

• At least 7 years of experience in data engineering with hands-on expertise in cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in AWS tools and technologies including S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, Athena, Kinesis, and EMR.
• Strong skills in data warehouse design, optimization, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, or equivalent programming languages.
• Knowledge of big data frameworks like Apache Spark, Hadoop, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with standards around data governance, security, and compliance.

Good-to-Have:

• Familiarity with DevOps tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices.
• AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Big Data – Specialty or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
• Experience with analytics tools and data visualization.
