Job Description:
We are looking for a senior engineer to build data products and applications that power critical business decisions across the organization and inform the product strategy. We are looking for a forward-thinking, structured problem solver, technical specialist, and talented leader passionate about building systems at scale. As the data domain specialist, you will partner with a cross-functional team of IT, data platform, product engineering, analytics teams, and data scientists to support various initiatives. Requirements may be vague, but the iterations will be rapid, and you must take thoughtful and calculated risks. You are interested in reporting platforms and data visualization.
Who you are:
Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer science or related technical field or equivalent related professional experience.
6+ years of experience in building and managing the data warehouse, data pipelines, and data products with data from event streams, on distributed data systems (AWS/Hadoop).
Experience implementing DevOps best practices within the data platform, including solutions for CI/CD, data observability, monitoring, and lineage.
Experience with BI tools like Tableau, Amplitude, and Redash.
Experience in designing and crafting real-time streaming and batch applications using Spark, K-Streams, and Kafka
Good understanding of data modelling, schema design patterns and modern data access patterns (including API, stream, data lake) in cloud (AWS preferable)
Experience working with SQL & NoSQL database
Strong business acumen with an understanding of business drivers and of how to drive value using data across the organization
Experience building low-latency data product APIs

You are well-versed in data-driven and data-informed product development and comfortable with the nuts and bolts of software engineering, data engineering, and basic data science.
What you’ll do:
Support product and business teams’ specific data needs on a global scale
Develop quality scalable, tested, and reliable applications using industry standard methodologies
Maintain close partnerships with internal partners from engineering, product, and business
Scale private and public API’s to enhance UI experiences for internal and external partners
Take ownership of backend development building applications from concept to completion
