Summary -We are hiring a proactive Linux Network Administrator to design, implement and maintain on-premise and hybrid data-center infrastructure for a confidential financial-technology client. The role focuses on Linux server administration, networking, virtualization, SAN/NAS storage, firewalls and automation to ensure high availability, security and performance.

Responsibilities

1. Install, configure and maintain Linux servers (CentOS, Ubuntu, RHEL) across production and staging environments.
2. Manage physical servers (provisioning, RAID, firmware updates) and data-centre rack/cabling/environment monitoring.
3. Configure and manage VLANs, subnets and routing on Layer-2/Layer-3 switches; implement redundancy (VRRP, LAG, dynamic routing).
4. Deploy and administer firewalls (Cisco ASA, FortiGate, pfSense, Palo Alto), NAT, security policies and VPN tunnels.
5. Manage virtualization (Proxmox, VMware vCenter, KVM) and VM lifecycle tasks.
6. Administer SAN/NAS storage (DELL EMC, NetApp, HP MSA), NFS/iSCSI and backup/disaster recovery processes.
7. Configure and optimize load balancers (HAProxy, Nginx, cloud NLB/ALB) for HA and scalability.
8. Build automation using Ansible, Terraform and shell scripting; maintain monitoring/alerting (Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus).
9. Collaborate with DevOps, development and security teams on deployments, troubleshooting and hardening.

Requirements

1. 5–7 years hands-on experience in Linux systems and core networking.
2. Strong knowledge of VLANs, routing, firewall management (Cisco ASA, FortiGate, pfSense).
3. Experience with virtualization (Proxmox / VMware / KVM) and SAN/NAS administration.
4. Proven experience with load balancers (Nginx, HAProxy) and web server configurations.
5. Automation skills (Ansible, Terraform, shell scripting) and monitoring tool experience.
6. Strong troubleshooting, documentation and communication skills.
7. Preferred: RHCE, CCNA, VMware VCP, CompTIA Network+, AWS SysOps or equivalent.
