Responsibilities

1. Track the automobile and related sectors (commercial vehicles, tyres, auto casting, freight transport) and publish research reports, dashboards, and updates.
2. Conduct primary and secondary research to analyze market trends, demand-supply balance, investments, and regulatory changes.
3. Evaluate the financial performance of automobile companies and forecast quarterly results and sector outlooks.
4. Prepare industry presentations, thematic reports, and articles for clients and conferences.
5. Maintain and update industry databases and research platforms with relevant insights and parameters.
6. Analyze the impact of policy changes, acquisitions, or other developments on industry performance.
7. Manage client and stakeholder relationships, respond to research queries, and deliver actionable insights on time.
8. Ensure adherence to research processes, timelines, and quality standards.

Requirements

1. Postgraduate degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Economics, or Business.
2. 2–5 years of experience in industry research, business research, or financial research – preferably within the automobile sector.
3. Deep understanding of automobile market dynamics, including commercial vehicles and auto components.
4. Strong analytical and quantitative research skills with attention to detail.
5. Good knowledge of financial concepts, forecasting, and data interpretation.
6. Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills.
7. A curious, proactive mindset with the ability to think beyond the obvious and work within tight deadlines.
8. Proficiency in MS Office and research databases will be an added advantage.
