Senior Software Engineer – AS400 / iSeries Developer-5-8 years-Pan India

Location – Pan India

Summary –An exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in AS400 / iSeries technologies to work on multiple high-impact projects. The role involves end-to-end development, technical design, testing, stakeholder collaboration, and mentoring junior team members within an agile delivery environment.

Responsibilities –

1. Prepare technical design documents and perform impact analysis
2. Review code, test plans, and test results
3. Perform coding and unit testing using AS400 technologies
4. Provide testing support during system integration and user acceptance testing
5. Handle release preparation and post-implementation support
6. Contribute to non-functional requirements including performance and security testing
7. Act as a backup for the technical lead in project-level meetings and stakeholder discussions
8. Guide and mentor junior team members
9. Work across multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements –

1. 5–8 years of overall IT experience
2. Strong experience in SDLC and Agile methodologies
3. Hands-on expertise in iSeries platform using CLLE, RPGLE, DB2/400, and SQL
4. Experience with SQL RPG and Free Format RPG
5. Exposure to tools such as JIRA, RDI, RTC, ARCAD, Jenkins, HP Quality Centre, and MQ
6. Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
7. Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines

Preferred Skills –

1. Experience in RESTful API development using IWS on iSeries
2. Exposure to test automation tools such as RPGUnit, XFramework, or Tosca
3. Experience with Connect Direct or SFTP
4. Prior experience in banking or financial applications
