Location- Gurgaon (Hybrid)
Your future employer- A 300-year-old multinational P&C insurer operating across the UK, Ireland, Canada, and other parts of Europe.
Responsibilities-
- Understanding the task and listing down to-dos based on discussions with stakeholders, project owner, and project sponsors
- Guiding junior team members on required training for projects
- Processing and reconciling complex data structures, identifying, and resolving data gaps/issues in line with best industry and commercial practices
- Conducting analysis for low to high-risk projects using standard Analytical and Statistical techniques
- Conducting self-review and escalating issues/seeking review from STM
- Exploring new/more appropriate analysis methodologies and validating the appropriateness of applied methodologies
- Conducting independent peer reviews for low to medium-risk projects as per best practices
- Preparing comprehensive project documentation, drafting final stakeholder presentations and reports as per STM guidance and company visual standards
- Building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal teams and stakeholders
Requirements-
- Experience in General Insurance Technical Pricing and Underwriting Modelling
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid understanding and demonstrated experience in working with Actuarial or Technical Underwriters in Loss Cost Modelling, Demand or Conversion Modelling, Claim Analytics like Fraud or Propensity Modelling
- Proficient in data handling using SAS
- Strong foundation in statistical modelling
- Experience in directly managing or mentoring a 2-4 member team
- Proficiency in Python or R machine learning programming
- Exposure to supervised or unsupervised modelling algorithms
- Knowledge of Machine Learning in Azure
