AI Engineer - AI models and algorithms - 7-10 Years - Remote

The AI/ML Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining artificial intelligence solutions that address real business challenges. This role involves building and optimizing machine learning models—particularly in natural language processing and computer vision—while working closely with cross-functional teams to translate data into actionable insights. The engineer will manage and troubleshoot existing AI applications, continuously improve model performance through experimentation, and leverage cloud-based platforms such as Azure and Azure Synapse to support scalable data workflows. Strong programming skills, experience with modern ML frameworks, and expertise in prompt engineering are essential, along with the ability to document and clearly present technical findings to stakeholders.

Location: Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (Remote - one week in office)  

Candidate is required to be onsite for one week each month. Candidates must work EST time. Candidates from PA, NJ, NY, DE, and OH will be given preference.

Duration: 12 months (Possibility of extension)

• Design, develop, and deploy AI models and algorithms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address AI-related challenges.
• Analyze and interpret complex data to extract actionable insights.
• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot existing AI applications and models, including fixing bugs and resolving issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Continuously improve AI models through iteration and experimentation.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning.
• Document and present findings and results to stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in AI, machine learning, or data science.
• Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure) and Azure Synapse and data workflows (pipelines).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
