Job Summary We are hiring an Assistant Manager - Accounts Payable to join our Financial Services Practice team. The desired candidate should be a Commerce Graduate / Postgraduate / BBA / MBA in Finance with 7 years of experience in Accounts Payable processes, Financial reconciliation, and analytical reporting. This position will also focus on stakeholder communication, process improvement, and automation.

Assistant Manager – Accounts Payable (AP)

Key Objectives and Responsibilities

  1. Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable (AP) operations, including reconciliation activities and reporting.
  2. Perform financial reconciliation, prepare reports, conduct comparative analysis, and communicate with multiple stakeholders.
  3. Analyze financial data for accuracy, ensuring error-free processes.
  4. Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
  5. Reconcile bank statements, oversee payments, and monitor cash flow to ensure financial stability.
  6. Continuously drive process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency.
  7. Collaborate with internal and external teams for seamless accounting and reconciliation processes.

 

Key Capabilities and Competencies

  1. Expertise in Accounts Payable functions, including multi-currency vendor invoicing and payments.
  2. Strong knowledge of financial reconciliation principles and accounting systems/processes.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, and advanced formulas.
  4. Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and attention to detail in handling financial data.
  5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for seamless stakeholder collaboration.
  6. Independent thinker, proactive, and a proven team player.
  7. Demonstrates accuracy, time management, and ability to prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines.

Qualification and Experience

  1. Graduate/Postgraduate (Commerce, Business Administration) or MBA in Finance.
  2. 7 years of experience in Financial Services, specializing in Accounts Payable (AP) and reconciliations.
  3. Hands-on knowledge of financial technologies like Workday and similar platforms is a plus.
