Associate Software Quality Assurance Engineer – 1+ Years - Chandigarh

Summary –
We are looking for a meticulous, proactive, and detail-oriented Associate Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer with 1+ years of experience to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and senior QA engineers to identify, report, and resolve issues throughout the software development lifecycle.

Location –
Chandigarh

Key Responsibilities –

• Perform manual and/or automated testing across web, mobile, and desktop applications.

• Design, develop, review, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

• Conduct system testing, functional testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), performance testing, and test automation as applicable.

• Identify, document, and report defects using defect tracking tools such as JIRA, including clear steps to reproduce.

• Work closely with development teams for defect triaging, root cause analysis, and verification of fixes.

• Ensure prompt responses to bug-related queries and validation requests.

• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality across all phases of the SDLC.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and methodologies.

Requirements –

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 1+ years of experience in software quality assurance or software testing roles.

• Strong understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

• Hands-on exposure to at least one automation tool, framework, or performance testing tool.

• Familiarity with Agile / Scrum development methodologies.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and work effectively under pressure.

• Proactive mindset with a strong desire to learn new tools and technologies.

• Ability to identify ambiguity and drive clarity in requirements and testing scenarios.

Preferred Skills –

• Exposure to test automation frameworks and basic scripting.

• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.

• Understanding of performance and non-functional testing concepts.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
