Data Engineer ( CAT Modeling) - 4 + Years - Mumbai

Summary - An exciting opportunity for Core Python developers to join a high-impact Catastrophe Modeling Tech Team, focusing on hard-core coding, data engineering, and cloud-based automation using Python, SQL, PySpark, and Azure while working with global stakeholders.

Location - Mumbai 

Employer - A global leader in insurance, risk management, and consulting, delivering technology-driven analytics solutions for complex risk and modeling challenges.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop production-grade Python code handling large-scale datasets similar to data engineering workloads.
2. Design, build, and optimize ETL pipelines using Python, PySpark, and SQL.
3. Develop, test, and deploy analytics solutions on Azure Cloud using Posit Connect.
4. Write, modify, and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for performance and scalability.
5. Use GitHub for version control, code reviews, and collaborative development.
6. Work closely with CAT modeling teams and UK stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements

1. 4+ years of strong hands-on experience in Core Python development with heavy coding exposure.
2. Solid experience with SQL, including stored procedures and performance tuning.
3. Hands-on experience with ETL pipelines and large datasets.
4. Working knowledge of PySpark and Azure Cloud services.
5. Experience using GitHub and deploying applications to production environments.

Willingness to work in UK shifts from the Mumbai location.
