Head of Projects - APAC – Financial Accounting (12+ Years)

Looking for a qualified Accountant with 12-15 years of experience in project management having leadership skills to articulate and influence senior stakeholders to simplify complex issues. If this sounds exciting, apply with us!

Responsibilities:
Manage the delivery of Financial Accounting transformation projects across the APAC region
Manage the delivery of SAP connected projects and process improvement across APAC region
Review, document, challenge end to end Financial Accounting processes and deliver efficiency across the APAC region
Challenge the status quo of the processes and bring innovation and automation ideas to deliver efficiency saves
Liaise with all key stakeholders and project teams to drive the successful project delivery
Track progress and identify the issues and risks as they affect project deliverables, time, quality, resourcing and other project considerations.
Ensure benefits to customers, partners and stakeholders are clear and projects are delivered to expectations.
Support implementation of technical accounting changes in the region like IFRS 17 etc.
Support Business Units for technical accounting aspects and provide solutions
Support the Regional Head of Accounting in the deliverables of the regional accounting function
Requirements:
Qualified Accountant with 12-15 years’ experience and proven skills of project management and transformation of accounting processes in a large multinational environment set up.
Good communication skills to manage stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
Sound technical understanding of accounting aspects, preferable in insurance related industry.
Understanding and experience of Agile ways of project management.
Leadership skills to articulate and influence senior stakeholders to simplify complex issues.
