Role Summary Support impairment forecasting across retail portfolios, ensuring accurate estimation of Expected Credit Losses (ECL). The role combines strong analytical rigor with cross-functional collaboration in a regulatory-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  1. Support IFRS 9 / ECL modelling, validation, and monitoring across retail portfolios.
  2. Conduct impairment forecasting using transition matrices, roll-rate models, and recovery rate models.
  3. Partner with Finance, Risk, and Modelling teams to ensure alignment on impairment results and assumptions.
  4. Review and challenge model outputs to ensure accuracy, governance, and regulatory compliance.
  5. Contribute to enhancements in impairment frameworks and forecasting methodologies.

Requirements

  1. 5–10 years of experience in Impairment Modelling, Impairment Reporting, or Credit Risk Analytics.
  2. Strong understanding of IFRS 9, ECL modelling, and forecasting techniques.
  3. Hands-on experience with SAS / Python / SQL / Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  4. Exposure to portfolio risk management, stress testing, and forecasting methodologies.
  5. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into business insights.
  6. Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills.
