Lead Research Scientist - Beverages/Dairy - 8+ Years - Mumbai

An excellent opportunity for a seasoned Research Scientist to lead innovative R&D initiatives in the dairy industry. This role focuses on product development, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance, offering significant exposure to cross-functional collaboration and industry leadership.

Responsibilities –

  1. Lead R&D initiatives to develop new food products, formulations, and recipes that align with market trends and regulatory requirements.
  2. Collaborate with marketing, operations, and sales teams to identify market opportunities and translate consumer insights into innovative dairy products.
  3. Manage product development projects from concept to commercialization, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  4. Establish and maintain quality management systems and procedures that comply with food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, HACCP, GMP).
  5. Implement quality control measures across the production process, from raw materials to finished products, and conduct audits to ensure product excellence.
  6. Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and industry best practices, ensuring full compliance with food safety standards.
  7. Collaborate with internal teams (senior management, production, procurement, supply chain) to align R&D and quality initiatives with business objectives.

Requirements –

  1. Master’s/Bachelor's or advanced degree in Dairy or a related field.
  2. Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) in R&D and quality management within the food manufacturing industry.
  3. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, quality management systems, and industry standards (e.g., FSMA, SQF, BRC).
  4. Proven track record in driving innovation in product development, formulation, and commercialization.
  5. Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing projects from concept to launch.
