Manager – Switchyard & Transmission Design – 5+ Years - Gurgaon

We are looking for an experienced Manager – Switchyard & Transmission Design to lead power evacuation engineering for large-scale power and renewable energy projects. The role involves pre-bid engineering, switchyard and transmission line design, BOQ preparation, grid compliance coordination, and execution support, ensuring safe, reliable, and grid-compliant power evacuation solutions.

Responsibilities –

1. Handle pre-bid engineering activities, including feasibility studies and preliminary design.
2. Prepare and finalise BOQs for switchyard and transmission line systems during pre-bid and execution phases.
3. Develop switchyard layouts, in-house drawings, and technical specifications for switchyard and transmission lines.
4. Perform design calculations, equipment selection, sizing, and review of drawings for accuracy and completeness.
5. Coordinate with CTU, STU, RLDC, and SLDC for grid connectivity and compliance approvals.
6. Collaborate with internal teams, electrical contractors, and equipment vendors for smooth project execution.

Requirements –

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in switchyard and transmission line design.
3. Strong understanding of EHV systems and power evacuation infrastructure.
4. Proficiency in PSS/E, PSCAD, AutoCAD, MS Office, and power system studies tools.
5. Sound knowledge of IS/IEC codes, grid regulations, and industry best practices.
6. Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
7. Ability to work in a collaborative and cross-functional environment.
