Regional Customer Development Manager – East – FMCG/Personal Care – 2+ Years – Kolkata
Summary
We are hiring a Regional Customer Development Manager for the East region, based in Kolkata. The person should work closely with the ASM and RSM on brand, channel, and distribution strategies. They will plan and execute trade schemes, promotions, displays, and BTL activities. They must ensure all retail and wholesale programs run smoothly in the region. The role also involves regular coordination with the Brand, Supply Chain, HR, and sales teams.

Responsibilities
- Analyzing marketplace data to design impactful sales and distribution strategies.
- Developing regional sales plans to achieve business objectives in the assigned region.
- Creating and executing effective trade marketing strategies to boost product visibility.
- Crafting and implementing channel-specific and distribution strategies.
- Providing market insights through in-depth analysis of trends, competitors, and consumer behavior.
- Leading below-the-line (BTL) activities and promotions to enhance brand recall and visibility.
- Ensuring seamless cross-functional coordination with different teams to align objectives.
- Managing and mentoring sales teams in the region, ensuring performance enhancements.
- Building and maintaining strong retail and wholesale market relationships.
- Conducting competitive analysis to measure the effectiveness of products and strategies.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in Customer Development or Sales roles, preferably in the FMCG/Personal Care domain.
- Expertise in areas like market insight generation, activity planning, and trade distribution.
- Proficiency in tools like Excel and other data analysis software.
- Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional commercial acumen and ability to align sales activities with organizational objectives.
- Experience leading and managing cross-functional teams effectively.
- Comprehensive understanding of retail and wholesale market dynamics.
- Ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies at a regional level.
