Research Analyst – 2 – 5 Yrs – Mumbai / Pune

Responsibilities –

1. Support the Private Equity Valuations Team of a US-based Alternative Asset Manager in validating valuations of private investments and documenting valuation models.
2. Review inputs included in matrix-based valuation models and related materials.
3. Validate valuation methodology and models used, including model calibration and methodology review.
4. Review valuation of assets held by the funds at each NAV frequency and analyze significant changes in valuation marks/KPIs and Review and document valuation models at the asset level.
5. Prepare and validate monthly and quarterly NAV reviews, including NAV snapshot, waterfall analysis, and reasonability checks on CAS.
6. Verify fair value vs. accounting and analytically review assets, liabilities, interest, and expenses before/after NAV release. Resolve discrepancies or inconsistencies identified during reviews.
7. Perform analysis to incorporate all relevant information into the valuation review process.

Requirements –

1. Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
2. 2–6 years of experience in valuations.
3. Strong proficiency in financial modeling, valuation analysis, and data analysis.
4. Expertise in financial statement analysis and interpreting complex financial data.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
6. CFA designation or active pursuit of the CFA program preferred.
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Education Qualification

Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
