DBA – SQL Server - 8+ Years - Gurgaon

Summary: We are looking for an experienced SQL Server DBA with strong exposure to Azure SQL environments and enterprise database administration. The role demands hands-on expertise in performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery, and large-scale database environments within insurance or BFSI setups. This position suits professionals who combine deep technical ownership with a structured, process-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

1. Managing and administering Azure SQL Databases and Azure SQL Managed Instances.

2. Performing database backup, restore, and recovery operations while ensuring data integrity.

3. Writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting stored procedures and complex SQL queries.

4. Implementing and maintaining High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions.

5. Monitoring database performance and conducting proactive tuning and optimization.

6. Handling database migrations across environments with minimal downtime.

7. Managing user access, security controls, and role-based access policies.

8. Collaborating with development teams to support application performance needs.

Requirements

1. Possessing 8–12 years of overall experience in SQL Server database administration.

2. Demonstrating strong hands-on experience with Azure SQL DB and Managed Instances.

3. Having solid exposure to insurance or BFSI domain environments.

4. Showing expertise in performance tuning, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.

5. Working knowledge of SQL Server 2014, 2016, and 2022 environments.

6. Experience in DR, HA, database migration, and security best practices.

7. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
