Summary

The VP – Front-end/UI role is a senior technology leadership position responsible for driving the design, delivery, and evolution of enterprise-scale front-end platforms. The role combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic leadership, requiring close collaboration with senior stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance digital experiences. The position focuses on modern UI architectures, cloud and API integrations, agile delivery, and regulatory compliance while mentoring teams and influencing digital transformation across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive front-end/UI engineering initiatives for enterprise-scale, high-traffic banking platforms.
• Own end-to-end UI architecture, delivery quality, performance, and scalability across multiple applications.
• Provide strategic technical guidance to senior stakeholders and Group Executives to support key business decisions.
• Lead and mentor agile front-end engineering teams, ensuring best practices in code quality, testing, and UI standards.
• Design and implement modern, scalable UI architectures with strong API integration, security, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate closely with Backend, Architecture, Product, and Business teams to deliver seamless digital experiences.
• Ensure compliance with security, risk, and regulatory standards in all UI solutions.

Requirements

Experience

• 14+ years of experience in front-end/UI engineering with strong leadership exposure.
• Expert-level hands-on experience with JavaScript, React JS, Redux, Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, ES6, and Styled Components.
• Strong experience in UI solution design including API integration, security, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on leadership experience in agile delivery, code reviews, and defining UI architecture standards.
• Solid backend exposure with Java, RESTful APIs, Spring Boot microservices, and BFF patterns.
• Experience with API Gateway, OAuth2 / JWT authentication, and secure integrations.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure) and CI/CD pipelines for front-end deployments.
• Experience in banking or financial services domains preferred.
