​Bridge Project Manager - Structural design - 10+yrs - Herndon, Virginia 

We are seeking a motivated individual who desires increasing responsibilities across a variety of bridge and transportation structure projects at the local, state, and federal level. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering all project objectives for assigned bridge and structural design projects including planning, scope, schedule and budget, team coordination, stakeholder communication, risk management, resource management, quality assurance, and reporting.

Location: Herndon, VA 20171 (On-Site)

Responsibilities:   

• Full Lifecycle Management: Lead structural projects from preliminary design through construction, ensuring all deliverables meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.

• Technical Leadership: Guide the project team in developing high-quality construction plans, submittal documents, and structural engineering designs.

• Team Development: Act as a mentor and coach or junior staff, providing performance management, goal setting, and regular 1:1 feedback to support career growth.

• Stakeholder & Client Relations: Build and maintain relationships with clients to understand project requirements and present status updates to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Business Operations: Assist leadership with marketing and proposals (Go/No-Go decisions), manage subconsultants, and monitor project financials including invoices and risk mitigation.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, specifically focused on structural engineering.

• Experience: A minimum of 10 years of professional experience specifically in bridge and structural design.

• Licensure: Must be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Virginia.

• Soft Skills: Proven track record of strong communication and presentation skills, capable of leading interviews and client meetings.

• Project Delivery: Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and navigate various delivery methods (e.g., Design-Build, P3, or Design-Bid-Build).
