Associate Manager/ Manager / Senior Manager -Instructional Designer- (7-15 Years)-Multiple Locations

Location: Gurugram, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Chennai

Your Role:

  1. Collaborate with the clients, identify the business need and propose the learning solutions that best fit the clients’ needs and build trusted advisory relationships.
  2. Set up the project by defining processes and team structure; creating and managing workplans to mitigate risks; establishing collaborative working relationships; and supporting successful project execution.
  3. Analyze learning needs to address the business requirements, prioritize the identified skill gaps, develop the learning and curriculum strategy, and recommend fit-for-purpose learning interventions that align with business needs. 
  4. Identify opportunities to implement new and innovative learning strategies.
  5. Manage and mentor a team of instructional designers and media/technology designers across different locations to generate high-impact outcomes.
  6. Manage budget, scope, timelines and effort needed to design and develop varied learning solutions across multiple programs; and align with internal and external stakeholders to manage and fulfill business expectations and commitments.
  7. Monitor project performance and report progress and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders and on multiple forums, as required.
  8. Demonstrate agility to adapt the learning solution to evolving business needs.
  9. Contribute to the development and execution of organizational and practice initiatives as well as develop proposals for new opportunities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Lead learning efforts for large-scale as well as niche business transformation programs.
  2. Develop learning strategies that are aligned with client’s business and talent strategies, driving positive change, innovation, and development across the client organization.
  3. Collaborate across the client organization with their business leaders and executives to identify and develop specific solutions for their learning needs and growth.
  4. Supervise the learning development team on projects; be the primary point of contact for external and internal stakeholders for program scope, budget, timelines, progress, risks, escalations, and updates; monitor effectiveness of learning programs; and recommend new approaches to enhance learning solution offered.
  5. Demonstrate multiple levels of stakeholder management, across different groups of internal as well as external stakeholders.
  6. Negotiate learning contracts.
  7. Program manage multiple Learning and Talent programs across the practice’s portfolio.
  8. Assist practice leads to develop high-performing teams and individuals while ensuring they have the required resources.
  9. Lead business development by spearheading proposals for new work and building client relationships.
  10. Lead organizational and practice initiatives; design and develop an adaptable and agile capability that aligns with the practice’s strategic direction and goals.
  11. Be seen and recognized as a thought and practice leader, who builds on the practice’s strengths and brings new perspectives to the team; be an expert in at least one niche area of learning design / technology / experience.

YOUR EXPERIENCE:

  1. 7+ years of experience in the areas of learning strategy, design, delivery, and technology
  2. 7+ years of proven expertise in executing successful learning programs; managing large and diverse teams; creating, deploying and managing talent management and performance management strategies, programs and solutions linked to business growth objectives, in a highly matrixed environment
  3. 5+ years of corporate learning experience (preferably in consulting companies)
  4. Deep experience in adult learning principles, competency modeling, blended learning, and learning in the flow of work
  5. Collaborative working experience in the space of change, talent, and performance management
  6. Expertise in Talent Management and Learning & Development with demonstrated success in building learning programs that are scalable
  7. Practical experience in learning advisory and business needs consulting
  8. Experience with global project management and relevant experience to identify, triage and offer solutions for mitigating risk
  9. Experience in leading and managing agile learning programs in a fast-paced environment
  10. Experience in leading and delivering right learning solutions at the right time for enterprise-wide technology transformation programs, leadership programs, and other behavioral skilling programs, across industry groups and functions
  11. Experience in working with global teams, cultures and industries
  12. Experience in developing strong strategic business relationships to identify opportunities and turn them to projects and thereby, drive business development
  13. Experience in learning solution sales for multiple clients across industries and geographies (including preparing detailed proposals with learning approach and financial details, and presenting the proposal orals to prospective clients)
  14. Experience in the innovative application of eLearning technologies

Key Competencies and Skills:

  1. Ability to program manage multiple learning programs simultaneously
  2. Ability to craft, sell, and deliver fit-for-purpose learning solutions
  3. Extensive knowledge of learner-centric, performance-based instructional theories, adult learning principles, neuro-science and behavior-backed design principles/methodologies, and how to leverage these along with communication and other change management components for an integrated, holistic learning solution
  4. In-depth, expert-level, demonstrated knowledge of new, upcoming and disruptive technologies impacting various industry groups and their learning needs
  5. Strong project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment while delivering high-quality results
  6. Strong analytical skills and experience using and presenting data to make decisions
  7. Ability to work effectively in an agile, continuously evolving, and sometimes ambiguous environment
  8. Proven ability to build strong relations with multiple stakeholders
