​Packaging Section Head - Pharmaceutical packaging - 4+ Yrs - Fall River, Massachusetts 

We are searching for experienced candidates for the position of Packaging Supervisor. This person will supervise packaging operators and oversee the production processes in the absence of the Packaging Supervisor. The Packaging Supervisor ensures compliance with cGMP’s, policies, standard operating procedures, and FDA requirements. The incumbent will serve as a key resource for conducting product complaints, supporting packaging, and packaging components within approved procedures and regulatory requirements.

Engaged in the development, manufacture, marketing, and distribution of generic prescription medicines with emphasis in several therapeutic areas including cardiovascular, anti-infectives, CNS, anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetics, and anti-depressants. Dedicated in providing high-quality branded and generic medicines.    

Responsibilities:   

1.      Operational Leadership: Manage shift activities and floor operations in the absence of the Packaging Manager, providing direct supervision, coaching, and technical support to Line Leaders and staff.

2.      Compliance & Documentation: Enforce strict adherence to cGMP and SOPs, ensuring all in-process entries, machine cleanliness checks, and regulatory documentations are completed accurately and according to internal protocols.

3.      Process Optimization: Drive operational efficiency by reducing setup times and changeover durations while utilizing Systech serialization and SAP systems to manage production data.

4.      Quality Control: Oversee pre-check areas and technical instrumentation to ensure safety measures are met and all equipment is operated in accordance with regulatory requirements.

5.      Team Development: Serve as a subject matter expert for procedural questions, contributing to the writing of technical SOPs and training employees on best practices and equipment usage.

Requirements:   

1.      Industry Experience: 2–4 years of direct experience in pharmaceutical packaging, with a strong preference for candidates from a generic pharmaceutical manufacturing background.

2.      Leadership Background: Minimum of 2 years of experience directly managing teams within a manufacturing environment.

3.      Regulatory Expertise: At least 2 years of hands-on experience working within cGMP frameworks, including participation in local or federal compliance audits.

4.      Technical Proficiency: Strong troubleshooting skills for packaging machinery and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel), with a working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.

5.      Educational Foundation: High School Diploma or GED required; a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related technical field is highly preferred.
