Senior Underwriter - Commercial Lines - Corporate Clients - 5 Years+ - Pune
Location - Pune
An excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial underwriting professional to take charge of underwriting mid to large-sized corporate accounts for the Rest of Maharashtra (ROM) region. This Pune-based role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to elevate their underwriting career with a reputed insurance provider.

Responsibilities -
Manage underwriting operations for commercial lines (excluding Mumbai) in the ROM region.
Assess risk, evaluate proposals, and provide tailored solutions for mid-to-large commercial accounts.
Collaborate with brokers, internal sales teams, and risk engineers to finalize underwriting decisions.
Monitor the underwriting portfolio for profitability, loss trends, and claims.
Support regional/zonal strategies for growth and profitability in corporate underwriting.
Stay updated on market developments and regulatory changes impacting the commercial insurance landscape.
Mentor junior underwriters and assist in strengthening underwriting frameworks.
Requirements -
5+ years of experience in Commercial or Corporate Underwriting.
Strong domain knowledge in Property, Engineering, Marine, and Liability underwriting.
Proven ability to manage broker/client relationships and large accounts.
Excellent communication, analytical and decision-making skills.
Bachelor's/Master’s degree; FIII/AIII certification preferred.
Must be based in or open to relocation to Pune.
