Sr. Design Engineer / Coordinator
Location: Gurgaon
We are looking for a professional who has experience of end to end procurement in the Retail Industry.

Job Responsibilities:
Design Coordination: Function as a bridge between design and manufacturing.
Design download: Understand the collection/product brief and deliverables from the design team. Identity design/technical concerns, clearly communicate and offer solutions.
Technical drawing development: Develop new technical drawings as well as verify all technical drawings developed by in-house design team and external manufacturers/partners/vendors.
Technical drawing coordination: Approve and release technical drawings to in-house and external manufacturing units for all styles developed across Lenskart product brands. Follow up with internal/external sampling and production teams for timely approvals.
Proto-sample review: Evaluate proto-samples for fit, size specification, material, build/construction quality, color and finish. Conduct lab tests for material/finish/feature/construction technique if required for new innovations. Send a detailed report to the manufacturer for changes if applicable.
Production sample approval: Release final technical specification sheet for each style to the production team.
Technical Innovation: Identify and introduce new materials, features and construction innovations to improve product fit and quality.
Product Library: Create a physical library of all production samples and a digital library of their images.
Job Requirements:
8 - 10 years of experience in technical product design and development.
Graduate degree or equivalent training experience in the product industry.
Product knowledge of materials (acetate/TR90/ultem/metal/metal alloys) and components used in the eyewear industry.
Software skills: Rhino, Keyshot, AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop
