Summary –

This role involves analyzing pension plan data, preparing actuarial and financial reports, and ensuring compliance with IRS, PBGC, and other regulatory frameworks. Ideal for candidates with 1–5 years of experience in actuarial ancillary services, financial reporting, and pension valuations who are looking to advance their careers in a global consulting environment.

Responsibilities –

  1. Understand US/UK pension systems, including IRS regulations and pension operations.

  2. Process, validate, and update data in actuarial and financial models.

  3. Prepare and analyze actuarial reports for pension clients and share insights with internal checkers.

  4. Liaise with onshore consultants for data, model clarifications, and project updates.

  5. Execute pension benefit calculations and valuation reports with accuracy and compliance.

Key Areas of Expertise (for 1–5 years experienced candidates)

  • Actuarial Ancillary Services:

    • AFTAP & Annual Valuation Report preparation

    • PBGC government filings

    • Annual Funding Notice and IRS Form 5500 (signature-ready)

    • FASB / ASC 715 reporting

    • IAS 19R / US GAAP disclosures

    • OPEB / PRM plans knowledge (preferred)

  • Other Special Services:

    • TV / Retiree cash out calculations

    • Age 70½ minimum distribution requests

    • Special accounting calculations

Requirements –

  1. Master’s degree in Actuarial Sciences or a related quantitative field.

  2. Sound knowledge of actuarial principles and pension regulations (US/UK).

  3. 1–5 years of experience in pension actuarial services, ideally in ancillary services.

  4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across teams.

  5. Demonstrated progress in actuarial exams is required.

Technical Skills –

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation abilities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Familiarity with actuarial tools such as Relius and ProVal (for experienced candidates).

  • Good understanding of statistical and mathematical modeling.
