Key Responsibilities
Drive End-to-End Product Delivery: Manage the full lifecycle of data products—from ideation and design to development, deployment, and enhancement.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with engineering, analytics, governance, and business teams to build data products that solve real-world problems.
Champion Adoption: Promote and evangelize data products across the organization, ensuring they are well understood and adopted.
Platform Efficiency & Scalability: Lead engineering squads to optimize data platform performance and ensure product scalability.
Data Strategy Alignment: Ensure data product roadmaps align with broader enterprise data and business strategy.
Governance & Compliance: Partner with data governance teams to ensure adherence to enterprise data standards and regulatory requirements.
Metrics & Monitoring: Define KPIs and monitoring frameworks to track performance, usage, and reliability of data products.
What We’re Looking For:
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
Proven experience managing data products or services within large-scale data platforms.
Strong understanding of data mesh concepts, data sharing architecture, and modern data ecosystems.
Hands-on experience with Azure Data Services (e.g., Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse) and data governance tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview).
Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of Python or other scripting languages used in data engineering.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills across technical and business audiences.
Demonstrated experience leading agile teams and managing product backlogs, sprints, and scrums.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into actionable data product roadmaps.
Good to Have:
Experience in financial services, especially in regulatory domains such as life insurance or pensions.
Exposure to working with UK/European stakeholders.
Microsoft Azure certification or equivalent credentials.
Familiarity with BI and visualization tools like Power BI.
