Manager – Credit Underwriting & Portfolio Monitoring (Structured Finance) 5 Years - 8 Years - Gurgaon

Summary –

We are hiring a Manager – Credit Underwriting & Portfolio Monitoring for a leading global financial services firm. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with high-value clients, oversee underwriting across diverse asset classes in structured finance, and lead a team of credit analysts. The ideal candidate will bring in-depth knowledge of commercial loan lifecycles and strong leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities –

  1. Work closely with clients to support underwriting and monitoring of loan portfolios across structured finance asset classes.

  2. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of credit analysts responsible for detailed underwriting and ongoing credit monitoring.

  3. Independently complete and present detailed credit analysis to the credit committee with actionable recommendations.

  4. Identify red flags in underlying credits proactively and support clients in risk mitigation.

  5. Maintain process rigor, identify process gaps, and implement improvements while delivering projects with minimal supervision.

Requirements –

  1. 5-8 years of total experience in credit underwriting and portfolio monitoring, preferably in structured or corporate finance.

  2. 1-2 years of managerial or supervisory experience in credit risk or a related domain.

  3. Strong analytical skills in credit assessment, capital structure analysis, EBITDA evaluation, and industry risk profiling.

  4. Excellent team management and quality review capabilities with a focus on upskilling junior team members.

  5. Proven client management skills with the ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
