Summary: We are seeking a diligent and knowledgeable Legal Officer to handle all legal matters related to Property Tax. The ideal candidate will have experience in drafting legal documents, representing cases before various judicial and quasi-judicial authorities, and coordinating with legal professionals

Responsibilities:

All matters relating to Property Tax including- Rateable Value Cases, Capital Value system, Post Judgement actions, Execution of Decrees
-
Drafting letters/ applications to be made to MCGM and other authorities, as well as drafting replies to be given to MCGM and other authorities in response to the legal notices;
-
Drafting of Affidavit-in Replies against the pleadings filed by the other side, may it be private entities or Corporation, before Small Causes Court and High Courts;
-
Drafting of Appeals, First Appeals for challenging the order passed by Trial Courts, especially in relation to Property Tax matters.

Deciphering the information/ liability of the company from the order passed by the Trial Courts and preparing the Dashboard summary on the same.

Conduct legal workshops and make presentations to provide guidance and training on ensuring legal compliance to various business functions.
Requirement:
-
Graduate in any discipline with LLB
-
Preferred: Mumbai. (Member of Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa)

Practicing Advocate for at least 5 to 10 years of Litigation practice (post LLB)

Property Tax related and other Real Estate related Litigation
-
Knowledge on Property laws, BMC Act, Landmark judgments in relation to Property Tax (Rateable value and Capital Value);

Hands on experience in litigation practice, especially relating to property tax matters;

Researching abilities regarding legal issues; and
-
Well conversed with reading Marathi documents.
